Skbikes are a fun way to enjoy the slopes without having a large learning curve. If one can ride a dirt bike or downhill mountain bike, one can be riding intermediate ski slopes in an hour or less. Previous snow experience not required.
I learned to ride a full-suspension pegger style skibike back in 2007. Training was provided to the ski and snowboard instructors at my ski resort when management wanted to add them to the available ski school products. I was immediately hooked.
They ride like downhillers but use the same techniques found in skiing or snowboarding. Skidding, carving, powder, freestyle - it's all there.
Ski bikes are now allowed at most Colorado ski resorts. All of Vail Resorts, Aspen SkiCo, Telluride, Winter Park, Steamboat, Crested Butte, and others allow them. More are on the way.
Now that skibikes are mainstream, they need accessories to get one styling or replacements for that torn up handlebar cover or seat. Gear for hauling the bike from the parking lot is covered too!
